CRUA – Building Community Flood Resilience
The Community Resilience in Urban Areas (CRUA) project has developed toolkits and bespoke training to support communities across Europe who want to improve their resilience to future flooding. It provides a holistic response that includes addressing the emotional wellbeing of people affected by the long-term impact of flooding.
CRUA is led by the British Red Cross working with other Red Cross National Societies in Hungary and Denmark, and features Future Analytics Consulting as External Evaluators. The results and outputs from the project will be showcased at a high-level conference ‘Building Community Flood Resilience’ on 6th December at Titanic Belfast.
The project team invites representatives from across the emergency healthcare response sector, policy makers, and academics to join this exciting opportunity to share learning and resources, and to inspire other communities at risk from flooding across Europe and beyond to take action.
