FAC Attends SMIG2 Secure Societies Brokerage Event
FAC Senior Associate Maria Rochford was in Brussels recently for the SMI2G information day and brokerage event for the Horizon 2020 Secure Societies call topics, on 2nd and 3rd February.
The event provides a unique environment to stimulate innovative ideas and facilitate the creation of consortia. Attendees are invited to present on any topic contained in the Horizon 2020 2017 call concerning societal challenge “Secure Societies: protecting the freedom and security of Europe and its citizens”. Presentations are followed by a brokerage and networking session which gives attendees at the event an opportunity to discuss ideas and networking possibilities with research institutes, industries, SMEs, end user groups, and civil society organisations from across Europe.
FAC presented on a number of call topics that are under consideration for 2017 including CIP-01-2017 ‘Prevention, detection, response and mitigation of the combination of physical and cyber threats to the critical infrastructure of Europe’.
In responding to this call topic, FAC hopes to leverage the experience and extensive network base gained through our coordination of the H2020 RESILENS project.
